Ourdogs

From the moment we picked Onyx up at the Detroit Airport at just 9 weeks old, we knew he was "Special". At just 22 months of age, he has already surpassed any expectations we had for him. We were not sure that he would ever make it as a show dog due to his shyness, and we only hoped that we could build his confidence enough to make him into a show dog. Onyx went "EVERYWHERE" with me in hopes that this would give him that boost he needed. In April, we took him to the Columbus Specialty where he went Best In Sweeps. To know how far he had come, brought tears to my eyes. It wasn't the win, but the joy he showed me in the ring. Onyx was then put away to grow up. The first week-end in September of this year, Onyx was entered for only his second time out in Open. We are proud to report that Onyx not only went WD/BOW/BOB over Specials, he went on to a Group 1 that day. This also gave Onyx his first Major. What a day!!!! All of that work had paid off. The very next day, Onyx went WD/BOW again. We are excited about his future and what it may hold for us. Every day with Onyx is "GOLDEN" and it is truly an honor to be loved by this boy.
